Teenager charged with taking Barrow double-decker bus
A teenager has been charged with the theft of a double-decker bus in Cumbria.
The bus was taken from Barrow shortly before 0400 BST on Saturday and spotted by a police patrol on the A590.
A pursuit at speeds of up to 50mph followed before the bus eventually crashed near Kendal.
The 18-year-old driver, from Barrow, suffered "serious" injuries and was later charged with aggravated vehicle taking and criminal damage.
He is also accused of driving without insurance, driving whilst disqualified and driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
He is due to appear before Kendal Magistrates' Court on Monday.
