The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has resumed trading after a technical glitch forced a halt just as the market opened.
The suspension, which lasted for almost four hours, applied only to equities and did not affect commodities and currency trading.
The halt came just days before the launch of a rival exchange in Australia by bourse operator Chi-X.
It is the second time this year that technical issues have hit the exchange.
The ASX was hit by a technical glitch on 28 February, which lasted for just over one hour.
"The markets were halted at 10.05am (0005 GMT) when ASX detected a connectivity issue. ASX has worked with its technology vendor to resolve the issue," the exchange said in a statement.
